Allison Marino

Board Member

Allison Marino (she/her) is a macro social worker enthusiastically promoting social justice and dismantling barriers to equity with communities across NYC. Her professional experience includes nonprofit management and development in addition to policy advising, advocacy and organizing. She is currently the Director of Public Affairs at Edible Schoolyard NYC. She previously worked in various capacities with Phipps Neighborhoods throughout her career, Allison has also served in vital roles at community organizations fighting for equity including Housing Works, and as the inaugural Macro Social Work Fellow for the NYC Mayor’s Office of Sustainability under the De Blasio administration.

Allison is also an avid champion of organizations and groups she is passionate about, including serving as the Treasurer of the Board of Drag Queen Story Hour NYC, and as a supporter of community fridge networks in upper Manhattan and The Bronx. Allison holds a Master of Social Work degree in Human Service Leadership & Macropractice from Fordham University’s Graduate School of Social Service, and an undergraduate degree from The George Washington University, where she majored in Communication, and minored in Jewish Studies, with a focus on Holocaust studies and public memory.
